Matt Pennington, 29, is a stand up/actor/writer/musician/dancer/chef/life coach/lawyer/straight male from Annapolis, MD currently based in Baltimore. This four-eyed string bean loves making everyone laugh. When he’s not on stage, Matt can usually be found smoking cigarettes under flickering lampposts, contemplating where the case went cold.
Matt has opened for great comics such as Ari Shaffir, Joe List, Lisa Ann Walter, James McCann, Jay Jurden, and many others. Matt won the House of Laffs (Wilmington, DE) Comic of the Year Competition in 2022 and was a finalist in the Magooby’s Comic of the Year competition in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. He’s a regular at the Port Comedy Club and DC Improv, and can also catch Matt anywhere on the east coast, performing from NYC all the way down to Miami.
